Mill Girl Maibock is a tribute to May Day and the Mill Girls of Lowell—the young women who powered New England's textile mills in the 1800s.
When the mills cut wages and demanded longer hours, they walked out. They organized. They fought back and won. In 1836, they staged one of America's first labor strikes, proving that workers—especially women workers—had a voice that couldn't be ignored.
A Maibock, malty and strong, it's meant to be raised in their honor. Built on a pilsner base with Munich malt doing the heavy lifting and a whisper of melanoidin for color, this is a straightforward lager—no tricks, just good malt and patience. Cold-fermented with German Bock yeast, it's smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to drink at 6.3% ABV.

Love CRAÍC is what happens when you take the smooth, malty backbone of an Irish Red and give it the crisp, clean finish of a proper lager. Ireland holds a place in my heart, not for the beer, the trad music, or the scenery but for being the place where I got engaged. The home of legendary craic courtesy of James Joyce, Shane McGowan, Kneecap, the Derry Girls, and more, Ireland inspires creativity.
While I’m not Oscar Wilde and this beer isn’t the Book of Kells, this beer is good, easy to drink, and one that Brenden Behan himself would slam back 3 or 12 times.
So have a drink, fuck the fascists, and remember that despite 30 years of occupation the people of Derry didn’t let the bastards grind them down; and neither should you. Keep your head up.

As a tribute to the very best Vienna Lager that I have ever tasted, here is the Huli Huli Chicken - Smoked Vienna Lager. Huli huli chicken is a grilled Hawaiian dish similar to Terriyaki Chicken and was the exact dish I had when I had when tasting the best damn vienna lager of my life at Kauai Brewing on the eponymous Island.
Between the savory and the sweet this beer threads the needle, a perfect beer on the perfect island, while on the perfect vacation. Throw up a Chaka and take a sip, you won’t regret it.

Boston's Big Dig was supposed to take 7 years. It took 16. This Baltic Porter was supposed to be a regular porter. It became something much more complex. Sometimes the best things happen when plans go sideways. The city has become my adopted home and its urban design continues to enamor and disorient me. While its not Chicago, its not trying to be. But just like this beer, It’s wicked fun kid.

When I set out to make an IPA that people deserved to drink, I started where many do: Vinnie Cilurzo's Pliny the Elder. But instead of copying it straight, I adapted it, tweaked it, made it mine in honor of the inspiration Asheville's beer scene brings to every brewer..
This is a serious American IPA. Pale malt backbone with just enough crystal and dextrin to keep things balanced, then a relentless hop attack: Chinook for bite, Simcoe for complexity, Centennial for brightness, and Cascade to round it out. It all comes together at 7.1% ABV—strong enough to matter, clean enough to let the hops speak. Fermented hot and fast with American ale yeast, this is a beer built for conversation and another round.
